Comic Rhythm was a "Critic's Choice" of
the San Francisco Bay Guardian and we promise you, it's
only the best performers, no crappy crap crap. We'll have a
top headliner, local favorites, random acts, and, of course,
Jeff Kreisler: a guy with pants. (This is not a guarantee of
pants).
There's so much hate and anger and violence in the world...
inject 30 ccs of love into your heart... laughter, smiles
and hugs abound at Comic Rhythm. (Also, there will
be lots and lots of booze, enough to make all the pain go
bye-bye).
Come laugh, eat, drink, smile, giggle, socialize and reminisce
about a youth may or may not have actually had...
Come to Comic Rhythm Laughter
Feels Good. Come feel good.
COMIC
RHYTHM
is a showcase of the best in stand-up, sketch, and alternative
acts...
Comic Rhythm
always features a national headliner, local faves and up and
coming performers. We've got outstanding alternative acts and
sketch groups, singers, poetry slammers, and human beat boxes.
Comic Rhythm has showcased talents
like Tom Rhodes, Clark Taylor, Johnny Steele, The Fresh Robots,
White Noise Radio Theater, Tony Camin, Scott Capurro, Al Madrigal,
Jim Short, Brian Malow, Bridget Schwartz, Yuri Lane and Jeff
Kreisler

In September, 2001,
COMIC
RHYTHM held a
Fundraiser for Vision
Youthz, a Bay Area non-profit working
to better the lives of at-risk and previously detained youth.
We raised approximately $14 Billion
for Vision Youthz! (Give or take a few).
Read
the testimonials!
1. Tom Rhodes, comic artist from July 2001:
"(The
show at) the Tongue and Groove is Comedy at it's most ass
spankin' with a collection of hipsters in an intimate setting
befitting my boyhood dreams of show business, the only thing
missing from the way I dreamed it as a boy is pimps in wide
brim hats and Anne Margarette's loving arms waiting for me
when I came down off stage."
2. Kyra Bobinet, Executive Director, Vision
Youthz:
"Thank
you in endless words & praises for the amazing Comic Rhythm.
At a time when it was unfathomable, you created a beautiful
opportunity for laughter and meaning. This is truly a miracle,
and I feel that it will bestow great blessings upon the
youth and all of us. I appreciate that you went the distance
and contributed your gifts in a beneficial way. The true
meaning is all about connection."
